Setting up your baby’s closet  may not be something you thought about.

~With all the baby shower gifts you’ll be getting along with gifts from friends and relatives, once that baby is born, it can be very overwhelming.

~What do you do with all that stuff?  It can be a big chore.  I’ve got some ideas to help you get off to the right start with some organizing tips.

~Decide if you want a dresser in the baby’s room, or, if you’d like to keep the clothes in one place.. the Closet!  Get a changing table or do it on the dresser with a diaper changing pad!

Here are some great pictures with organizing ideas~

Your child’s clothes don’t hang down far, so either put a dresser or shelf in the closet and use the top for organizing.  Underneath the shelf, you can use baskets as shown in the pictures, or just put your child’s clothes in the drawers.  If you scroll down, there is a picture of clothes dividers that are so cute!

How many times do you need to organize those baby clothes that are to big, to small, or just right?  Use these clothes dividers.  You can find them on Pinterest here  if you’d like to make your own.

If using a dresser, use a divider to help organize things like diapers, wipes, and those little things that can get lost or misplaced.

Baskets, like this 3 tier one are so useful to keep things in if you don’t have a lot of space.

Hanging things on the wall around the  dresser is also a good idea if you don’t have a lot of space.  It’s a good idea even if you have space, it looks so good~!

Just use your imagination~  You never know what you could come up with! xo

Tag Teething Blankets~

There are so many things, all natural, that is, to help comfort and soothe your baby’s teething issues.  One of the ideas I have here are “Teething Tag Blankets”  They measure 10 x 10, machine washable, and are easy to transport in a diaper bag, car seat when traveling, in the crib, or just to hold and use at home.

Teething Tag Blankets for your baby, with ribbons and ring wooden pendant are a unique, comforting, and soothing, product to use when your baby is teething.  Made with 100% cotton, FDA approved silicone beads, and an unfinished wood ring pendant that is sealed with organic coconut oil.  Safe and Natural is always best!

It’s a great teething toy for your teething baby. They provide soothing relief and comfort when your little one is bothered with those new teeth coming in. What a help it is for mommy too!  In addition, this little blanket is fun for your baby to feel the different textures of the ribbons, develop sensory and motor skills while grabbing and sucking on the ribbon and wooden ring. They are also very colorful to help draw attention, focus, and help distract them.

Changing diapers?

Think of your baby or child’s skin.. so soft and gentle.. do you know that it absorbs almost anything you put on it? If you want a healthy baby and child from the start, it’s very important to put all natural products on them. Most baby products are full of all sorts of chemicals.. did you know it takes only 26 seconds for them to get into your blood stream once put on their skin? Natural products are VERY important! Hayden’s Hamper is just that.. 100% all natural products safe for your baby, child, and adults.

Let’s talk diaper cream/ointment.  Why natural diaper cream? Phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or sodium laurel sulfate are synthetic preservatives and are unsafe chemicals that are active ingredients in most commercial baby creams and ointments. Our diaper cream immediately forms a protective barrier on baby’s irritated skin to instantly provide relief to sooth the skin. You can use this as your “regular” cream to help prevent that rash or apply at the first signs of redness.  Apply cream liberally, and as often as necessary to dry skin, with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged.

What kind of baby powder do you use on your baby????

It is so important that you take the best of care from the minute your little ones are born, to put all natural products on them.  I will have a series of posts with DIY products you can make and use on your baby, buy for your baby, and the reasons why you should do this for your baby…

Did you know that most baby products are full of chemicals?  Toxins? Harmful to your baby.  When you put products that have synthetic chemical ingredients in them, they absorb into your baby/child’s skin in a matter of seconds.  It is not hard to make your own DIY products to keep your child safe from these harmful additives.  Using all natural ingredients are cheaper, will safe you money in addition to keeping your baby safe.

Making your own baby powder is super easy and inexpensive.  Baby Powder has been around for a long time. When we think of baby powder, we think soft and innocent. It’s not as innocent as it may sound. Baby powder has contained “talc” for centuries. Talc is related to asbestos and has been linked to various cancers.  Fragrance, another ingredient found in commercial powders, contains synthetics that may be harmful to your baby’s delicate skin.

We have created a natural alternative and it actually works better! Without the side effects of chemical causing diseases. Just use it as you would regular baby powder. Naturally absorbs, keeps moisture in, soothes, and keeps the skin soft.
We start off with Arrowroot Powder which is used for it’s absorbent properties and never made from GMO crops.
Calendula powder for deodorizing and soothing skin benefits.
Lavender essential oil has anti-inflammatory properties and is soothing to the skin in addition to healing.
Oatmeal is just all around great for the skin, especially sensitive skin. It’s anti-inflammatory properties help to sooth irritation and treat inflammation. It helps to keep skin clean and clear. It also contains “saponins” which is a cleansing agent.
Bentonite Clay is composed of volcanic ash. It is a unique clay, when combined with liquid has the ability to absorb toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, and impurities, hence, it helps in keeping your baby from getting a diaper rash.

¼ cup of calendula flowers, get them here.

¼ cup oatmeal

½   cup arrowroot powder, I use this brand.

¼ cup bentonite clay, I use this brand.

6 drops YL Lavender essential oil.  Get it here.

Combine all ingredients in a blender or coffee mill..  except the Lavender Essential Oil, Blend until fine.  Wait until dust settles before opening blender.  Put into a bowl and add the Lavender Essential Oil.  Whisk until all of oil little lumps are incorporated.

Put in a container with a shaker lid, use as you would baby powder.

Teething isn’t always pleasant, actually it is always unpleasant. Those signs of drooling, rash on chin, gums swelling, sensitivity, irritability, biting, sleep problems.

I’ve been working on some products to help with these unpleasant feelings your baby may have.  We know all baby’s go through this at one time and it can be a long process.

All natural, food grade safe teething rings, rattles, and necklaces are great to keep baby busy while you are talking, praying in church, or just needing to occupy them, keeping them engaged and distracted, along with soothing those gums from new teeth coming in. These are visibly appealing to your child and others. In addition to soothing those gums, it also promotes clutching, hand coordination, and eye contact. Different textures are pleasing to your child, stimulating them while soothing and giving relief.

These are some of the Necklaces and Teething Rings that you can purchase here.
